New Zealand television has gone digital. Digital TV offers better pictures and sound, more channels and new features such as on-screen TV guides.

 

Freeview is NZ’s free-to-air digital television and radio service that brings you digital quality pictures across all free-to-air channels in NZ. It comes in two forms:

  • Terrestrial Freeview comes in HD (high definition) and requires a UHF digital antenna installation that is pointed towards your local transmitter. TV's with built in Freeview boxes are terrestrial receives, alternatively an external Freeview Set-top can be installed.

  • Satellite Freeview via a satellite dish, which is ideal for areas outside the UHF coverage zones. An external Freeview Set-top is generally required as TV's with internal boxes can not receive Satellite signals.

 

We can supply both Terrestrial and Satellite Boxes.
